ZACI Instructor Extraordinaire
Co-owner, Creative Director
Imagine, envision, innovate
Signe has been an instructor for 7 years. She came to yoga with the body awareness of a dancer. Many years of intensive Russian Ballet training provided her with a strong foundation and understanding of the alignment principles and techniques of yoga. Later in her life, when she finally found yoga, it felt like coming home after being away for a very long time.
She describes her teaching style as an alignment-based Vinyasa flow sequence designed to give the beginning yogi a feeling of confidence and the experienced yogi room to explore their edge. Her goal when leading a class is to provide a yoga experience with the potential for mental, physical, and spiritual transformation, achieved through a meditative sequence that inspires the individual, honors the yoga tradition, and respects the principles of proper body alignment.
Over the years Signe’s love for yoga as a path for awakening and personal growth has led her naturally into the practice of Meditation. Her training and approach to meditation is multi-disciplinary, drawing from secular, scientific and spiritual traditions with the goal of demystifying the practice and integrating mindfulness into everyday life.
Signe is a Yoga Alliance 500hr and 200hr Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Continuing Education Provider. She feels honored to serve as an assistant teacher trainer at Zaci Yoga and Certification where she completed her teacher training. In addition to yoga Signe is a Reiki Practitioner and a Practitioner of Sound Healing Arts. She is currently in training to become a mindfulness/meditation teacher accredited through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.
Signe was raised in Newport Beach, California, and she has made the beautiful Southern Utah desert her home since 1993. She is married and has two children. She is a creative spirit who enjoys art, music, hiking, travel, and exploring great mysteries of life.
