As a native of Utah’s Dixie, Gina always planned on attending Dixie State College. After fulfilling general requirements there, she moved on to pursue bigger dreams at Southern Utah University and eventually the University of Utah, earning her graduate degree in education. After teaching in the special education department for over 10 years, Gina decided to take a break from teaching to focus all her attention on her family and explore other interests.
Gina has always had a passion for teaching but it wasn’t until she started teaching yoga that she really found her purpose. “Teaching and practicing yoga truly fulfills and completes me. For me, yoga is a personal, intimate, and sacred path to peace, transformation, and tranquility. My favorite part of teaching yoga is meeting so many unique, loving, talented, and remarkable people. I love our ZACI family and am so grateful to be a part of such an inspiring and powerful movement that is changing lives - one individual at a time.”
Gina finds it an absolute pleasure, delight, and blast to be teaching and practicing yoga at ZACI Yoga and an unimaginable gift and blessing to have been trained by her sister and mentor, Paula Temple, at ZACI (Zion Academy of Certified Instruction) in St. George, UT. Once certified, she readily registered with the Yoga Alliance as a 200 RYT. Gina recently spent 9 additional months studying in ZACI's 500 RYT training program where she has completed her advanced 500 RYT certification. “It is literally a dream come true. Paula instilled in me the interest, love, vision, and passion for yoga many years ago and that passion continues to be a driving force in my everyday life.”
